Similar Movies?

Another great movie with a somewhat similar plot would be Lars von Trier's "Dogville". Besides being shot in an intriguing unique way, it is an amazing movie - though long, some would say. But in my opinion time passes by fast when you are enjoying a great movie.

Short plot description:
The beautiful young Grace is escaping and hiding from some dangerous gangsters and finding herself hiding close to a small town up on a mountain. The village people take her in and agrees to hide and help her from her pursuers. In return, Grace offers to help people around town. The picture painted of the town at first, is one of a nice, friendly and cozy small village. As the movie progresses and unfolds, we start to see the truth about the village and its people. It continues until we see the ugly and cruel face it really has.

Something very interesting about the movie is, that the entire village is made out of chalk, painted on the ground and out of various props such as doors, beds, stoves and so on. In other words, we as viewers are able to through the "walls" of the houses and get an overlook of what is going on inside.

I really recommend this movie, as it is one of the most memorable ones I've ever seen :)
