What Are Other 'Disturbing' Movies With 'Shock Value'
I am very interested in those movies. I'm not talking ' Gummo ' disturbing, BEYOND that. Does anyone have any suggestiions for me?

One other film that (I think) no one called out yet is "Quills". Marquis De Sade, no question, is the expert of shocking material.. and this great film is about him.
Oldboy is already called out but the other two movies in that sequel are worth mentioning: "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" and "My Lady Vengeance". Korea, I think, is where many surprising and quite shocking movies originate from..

I've been living in Korea for over 10 years, and I'd have to agree. They have quite a few films that are shocking. Check out Plastic Tree if you haven't seen it yet.
shareI mean you guys have basically named 'em all, but do most agree that Irreversible should be at the top of everyone's list. I really gotta say that everyone refers to the rape scene as the most disturbing part of the movie but my vote goes to the opening-- Man!
When he breaks his arm and then finally gets his head bashed in..."I'm gonna f*&k you in the ass!" still rings in my head. That movie is definitely one of a kind!
Hands down, it would have to be "Salo"!
Be who u are and say what u feel because those who mind dont matter and those who matter dont mind
A film called "Inside Inoxia"

There's a film called "A Serbian Movie"...
It's been banned almost everywhere (Inc. Serbia) but a screener torrent for it is available online.
It's got everything you never thought anyone would have the balls to put onto celuloid.
It's also got a surprisingly decent plot.
ken park is not disturbing or shocking, its just lame.
shareIrreversible
I Stand Alone
Pink Flamingos
Desperate Living (John Waters' wildest film by far)
Natural Born Killers
A Clockwork Orange
Oldboy
Dead Alive
Baise-Moi
Audition
Salo
A Real Young Girl
Anatomy of Hell
Fat Girl
The Piano Teacher
Boxing Helena
Crash (the Cronenberg version)
Midnight Cowboy
In the Realm of the Senses (well, the ending, really)
Blue Velvet (at least when it first appeared; it's mainstream now)
Last Tango in Paris (not so shocking now, but when it first appeared, it was)
Happiness
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, Her Lover
Trouble Every Day
Funny Games (the original)
I Spit on Your Grave
Nekromantic
The Night Porter
Devotee (not that out there, but you don't often see sex w/ amputees depicted, even in porn)
The River (Tsai Ming-Liang's version, which includes an incest scene--I'll say no more)
Birth of a Nation (an out-and-out racist treatise)
Great lists. A couple more I haven't seen yet (though I admit I skimmed) are
Dumplings
The Untold Story
Man Bites Dog
Antichrist
Singapore Sling
A Hole in My Heart
The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things
Definitely reiterate 'A Serbian Film' as well.
Wow! I'm surprised no one mentioned Martyrs! Another good one is Dogtooth. I really liked Dogtooth cause it's not up in your face disturbing but still very disturbing nonetheless.

A Serbian Film, watch with caution.
shareMARTYRS, Inside, Enter the Void.
shareMartyrs and Inside yes, they should be pretty high up. DON'T watch the August Underground series!!! They are a complete waste of time, so many movies have made it disturbing with all the right elements, music, gore, effects, atmosphere, acting. August Underground have gotten much credit for being the "worst of the worst" in the gore/disturbing movie community but they really, really, REALLY don't belong. Rant over.
shareYes, August Understand is a series made to simply shock people. There is absolutely no substance, no plot, and the characters are just god awful Hot Topic rejects. I believe there is dead baby rape.

I stuff provolone in my socks every night so they smell like your sister's crotch in the morning!
