is brick top the scariest gangster youve ever see?

he actually scares the *beep* out of me thinking anyone would be like him in real life if just creepy his whole accent and way of talking and acting is just so cold and uncaring i cant think of anyone more evil than him
p.s yes i have watched godfather and all gangster films he is by far the worst

reply

It wouldn't surprise if the actor is like him in real life (minus the killings) he was THAT good.

Brick Top can be scary, yes, but he is definitely not as scary as, say, Don Logan (Ben Kingsley) in Sexy Beast or James Cagney's character in White Heat or Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) in Blue Velvet. I would also add Richie (William Hurt) in A History of Violence, Chopper Reed (Eric Bana) in Chopper, Kakihara (Tadanobu Asano) in Ichi The Killer, Ronald and Reggie Kray (Martin and Gary Kemp) in The Krays, Richie Madano (William Forsythe) in Out for Justice and Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) in The Departed. If they could be considered gangsters, I would add Begbie (Robert Carlyle) from Trainspotting and The Joker (Heath Ledger) in The Dark Knight.

Bill Foster: I'm the bad guy?...How did that happen?

Ian McShane as Teddy Bass in Sexy Beast is easily the scariest. After the mad unpredictable lunatic played by Ben Kingsley you think "damn thats scary" but then he completely puts it on its head by being cold, detached, calculating, and a real c** n**t

Teddy Bass looks like the kinda guy who'd cut your children's throats without a second thought and make you watch. The big loud aggressive gangsters are usually what people think of, but this guy... cold... calculating... and those dead eyes like a shark's.

Michael Corleone. How he was always so calm and collected while being so ruthless, such as ordering the hit on his own brother- that's someone to be truly scared of.

reply

He's a proper villain!

reply

No he isn't. I thought he was quite laughable, a tired old man trying to be hard when all it would take is for someone to give him a serious hiding or a bullet to the head.

It's all a deep end.
