Tries too hard to be like Tarantino movies

Any film with witty dialogue made after 1991 is simply imitating Tarantino's work.

When I saw this movie I knew that the director didn't have an original bone in his body and was just imitating the flawlessness of the legendary god Tarantino.

Any movie with witty dialogue and a great storyline that doesn't have QT's name attached to it is an automatic fail.

The fact that its better than most of Tarantino's flicks must burn you fanboys. This might also surprise you, but "witty dialogue" wasn't invented by your almighty god.

Snatch is better than Tarantinos only good films Pulp Fixtion and Resevoir Dogs.

reply

For Goodness' sake, no.

reply

Trolling or not, OP it's not completely wrong. If you can't see the Tarantino influence, you have never seen one of his movies.

reply

It's you who's making that comparison. I love Tarantino movies too and I've never, not once, thought that.

reply

Only these movies are better than anything tarantino has done except reservoir dogs and pulp fiction (to which they are equal), and reservoir dogs was an almost shot by shot remake of an older japanese film so.

reply

LOL!!!! Tarentino has copyrighted the combination of great storylines and witty dialogue?

God help us all.

this movie tried hard to be like tarantino and especially pulp fiction, copying several things wholesale. but that's not even the main problem.

half the dialogue (seriously!) is intelligible. I don't know who you were trying to sell this film to, but it certainly wasn't an international crowd. the film tries WAY too hard to be funny tarantino-style, but most of the scenes don't work at all. it's not bad in the way hollywood garbage of this century is, but while watching it I just wished for it to be over already. none of the people were likeable whatsoever, none of the deaths therefore mattered, key scenes made no sense whatsoever (what, you're gonna swerve your car because your windshield gets splattered? ahem, there's a WIPER...?!), characters were black, jewish, russian, whatever - that doesn't make them interesting, try characterisation instead! I can't stress the part with trying to be oh so cool enough... yet most was copied from other movies wholesale (pigs eating people - hannibal (the book), winning a rigged boxing match - do I even have to say it?!) - interposing a dozen uninteresting characters and trying to force the next pulp fiction without any charisma simply didn't work at all. not the worst movie I've ever seen, but I certainly will never watch this mess again.

Such a silly line.
