The 3 Sirens, I Don't Understand

Let me say, right from the start, I have a few extra pounds on me as well, this is NOT a bash at Christy Taylors weight. She's a very beautiful girl, I just don't understand why they would hire her if they were only going to hide her from the neck down. It's obvious they even tried to hide her behind the other 2 girls and went out of their way with camera angles to show the bodies of the other 2 girls, but tried to hide hers. If they were that unhappy with her weight, why did she get the part? I just thought it took so much away from the siren scene that they were trying hide her because it was obvious what they were doing.

Personally, I actually thought Christy Taylor was the cutest siren. No insult meant to Mia Tate or Musetta Vander, they're all very attractive women.

I noticed this as well, so you're not alone. I think she was one of the prettiest sirens and perhaps if they had not given the other two the amount of exposure on their limbs, we wouldn't have anything to compare it to. If all three were given equal exposure, it wouldn't be so evident.

I don't know WHY they filmed it that way or whose decision it was. Only those on set will. If she was playing someone other than a "siren" (ie: the way the camera covered the first two was evident of "siren" but they didn't give the same attention to Christy's character), we probably wouldn't be having this discussion.

PS: You may get more replies if you didn't type in all bold letters. It's very hard on the eyes.
