The 3 Sirens, I Don't Understand

Let me say, right from the start, I have a few extra pounds on me as well, this is NOT a bash at Christy Taylors weight. She's a very beautiful girl, I just don't understand why they would hire her if they were only going to hide her from the neck down. It's obvious they even tried to hide her behind the other 2 girls and went out of their way with camera angles to show the bodies of the other 2 girls, but tried to hide hers. If they were that unhappy with her weight, why did she get the part? I just thought it took so much away from the siren scene that they were trying hide her because it was obvious what they were doing.

You spent your time watching the siren scene tracking the bodies of the three women?I thought that there was plenty to look at as it was. It was certainly not obvious to me as I was looking at what I could see, not for what I could not see.Actually, I thought that the sirens were fungible.

southern women in those days were not all built like Miley Cyrus..

It was not obvious to me that they were hiding her. But it is quite possible that the actress may have preferred it that way. She is receiving exposure, without the sort of exposure that the industry might perceive as a negative, and which might affect the number of calls or opportunities she gets in future. Her weight may or may not be the same when she receives the next call, but if she is perceived as heavy, she might not receive any call at all.

That's what you saw. What I saw was three beautiful women. Your attitude is why little girls grow up to be women who obssess about their weight.

Yeah her career as an actress went gangbusters after this film.

Love the women, music, camera angles and the toad.

They've taken all of Pete, but left his beating heart.🐭
