Time to reflect if my opinion on this movie changed over the years.

Well thanks to the garbage sequels that spewed out, I can at least say this movie is better than those garbage fests. I think this movie has some good scenes and is watchable. That's the thing it's watchable, the acting is mediocre with most of the characters but that's a mood point, Arnold obviously liked the idea of making a 3rd film although I do believe it should have stopped at T2 cause thanks to T3 eventually these garbage might as well be straight to video sequels keep coming out. To me that's what I always hated about this film. The film does okay for what it is, best of the series? Hell no! T1>T2>T3 rest don't matter. Arnold never should've agreed to make this film but now that it's out it definitely is better than it's successors by far.

I read Arnolds autobiography a while back and remember he said something about him basically being forced into making T3 due to threat of being sued by the producers as he wasn't keen on doing it without Cameron who was open to writing/directing T3 but was pissed off by the whole rights situation which was like this legal nightmare and also how the Carlaco guys had acquired the rights again and then came to him saying we ready to do T3 we want you to direct but heres the script you gonna use.. so Cameron basically told them to fuck off and told Arnie to hike his fee up to 30m lol ..then the producers shopped around offering it to Ridley Scott (who almost did it), Fincher and Ang Lee but they all passed until they landed.. Moscow..yay..😒

Think Arnold said he didn't mind too much as he was being paid the biggest fee of his career and he used the publicity of T3 to help launch his political career/bid for Governor

YOU SAY GARBAGE A LOT...BUT THATS A MOOD POINT🙄

Your post is garbage...not even a valid statement to discuss the movie. Irrelevant and pointless. Pass on Troll.

And yes I sat and watched the movie again, it still is mediocre compared to the classics, but it's better than the other awful sequels that came out I still don't think it's underrated but it's definitely better than I initially thought at the time of release. Also that's interesting to find out about Arnold not wanting to do it, but how could they threaten to sue him, please elaborate that's garbage considering there was no contract clause that stated he had to do a terminator film every time..oops said garbage again don't want the troll to tear his paper hat up yet...oh wait I don't care.

did you re watch it , or just going off memory from 20 years ago?

reply

Doesn't matter, OP, T3 is NO LONGER CANON.

reply

Lol. There is no canon. The Terminator franchise is a "choose your own adventure" series.

reply

T3 is actually not bad... as long as you don't expect it to be as good as T1 or T2.

The main issue I see is that everybody expected this movie to be on par with T1 and T2 without Cameron?!? I don't understand how expectations could be so high. It's far better in most aspects than Salvation, far less convoluted, and invasive than Genysis. And, the jury is still kinda out on Dark Fate.

reply

I AGREE WITH YOU FOR THE MOST PART...I WOULD PUT T3 RIGHT BEHIND DARK FATE,MAKING IT THE FOURTH BEST IN MY OPINION.🙂

reply

T3 is way better than Dark Fate.
