The Grinch - pedo vibe?

I just watched this movie for the first time since it came out (I was probably around 6 or 7) and my husband pointed out how in the scene where Cindy sneaks into the Grinch's house, the Grinch acts really inappropriate. First of all, the dude's wearing NO PANTS, he is NAKED and keep thrusting his crotch area into the child's face, bringing his face half an inch from hers, in an attempt to scare her.

Now about the no-pants thing you might say that the Grinch has no penis so it's alright, but he is definitely portrayed as having a sexuality (more specifically, he likes boobs, the mayor's girlfriend's boobs), so he IS a sexual being, and not an innocent furry creature. Am I the only one who feels really uncomfortable with a naked, grown man acting so creepy to a young child?

I'm very disappointed in this movie and don't think it's cute and heartwarming like the book. I don't celebrate Christmas and never have, but that book was really sweet and I always liked it. The movie is just a pile of green sh-t.

Well there is a creepy smile the Grinch gives her at the end when he decides to become good, but other than that I would say no.

I don't think there was really a "pedo vibe", but I admit that the fact the Grinch was wearing no pants (sometimes no clothes) made me feel uncomfortable in some scenes. I realize a cartoon character like Yogi Bear also wears nothing. However, this was not a cartoon or animated film, and all the characters in the film - including the Grinch - were played by real actors. I am not sure if the Who's were supposed to be human or whether their anatomy is the same as humans. After all, we are shown that baskets floating in the air delivered babies, including the Grinch - but then what was the distinction between women and men in their population? As I said, regardless of what the Who's really were, they were depicted as humans and so I would tell the filmmakers: give him some pants.
