I wish Fern had her own spin-off
I wish Fern had her own spin-off....I could totally see her as Arthur's "Daria Morgendorffer"...but maybe that's just me.

shareAs much as I love Fern (and I do), this probably wouldn't be a huge success. Fern, and real people like her with her social issues, are easily misunderstood and easy to "dislike" based on a few misconstrued actions. Once you get to know 'em though... salt of the earth. People you wouldn't be without... Point is, she's no applicable Arthur-archetype character who's easy to relate to for 'most everybody. I can see how she might be as divisive as she is.
shareNorman Lear should oversee the project. Everybody knows he's the king of spinoffs.
shareWithout reading the other responses... it's just you! I think Fern is a know it all, who thinks she is better than everyone else!
shareI do, too...I know there's almost no way it'd ever happen. She's never been popular enough. But she is my favorite, and the one most like me. (I also love Prunella & Rhubella, Sue Ellen, Francine, & the Brain for the same reasons...I can relate them better than the rest.) Fern is awesome, though. I COULD kinda see her as the "Daria," lol.
