Anyone see this in theaters?

This was my first "horror movie" that I saw in theaters. I was nine years old when it came out, and was OBSESSED with the Washington Irving story. I was a super precocious kid and my dad thought I could handle the movie, which I did just fine with. I remember the popcorn bag had the poster of the tree with the headless horseman printed on it. I saved that stupid paper bag and kept it for years. Lots of fond memories for me around this movie.

My grandma took me to see this in the theater. I was 14 years old at the time. My grandma loves Johnny Depp, it's one of our favorite movies of his.

Yeah, I saw this in the theater back when it came out. It's definitely a movie that is only enhanced by seeing it in a theater I'm not really a horror fan, but I really enjoyed this movie when it came out and it's still one of my favorite movies. I actually saw it in the theater at a free screening before it was released. Both Christina Ricci and Casper Van Dien were in attendance, and no one made a big deal about either of them being there at all. As I recall, they both seemed to be there each with friends and if you didn't know who they were, they'd just look like any other people out with their friends seeing a movie except that you just saw them both on the big screen in front of you.

I saw this in a theater when first released and would pay to see it again. I love this movie!

Saw it with my brother and 2 close friends. I had been waiting to see it for months and was not disappointed! Think it was a Saturday afternoon showing Perfect marriage of director and story... one of Tim's best films to date & one of the best Halloween movies ever. They still play it at our local drive-in around Halloween sometimes. BTW, money wise, the souvenir popcorn bag will not be worth more than a bag of popcorn but the sentimental value is a different story.

No, but I wish I had. I wanted to go, but I had already been to a couple of movies that year and I asked some classmate if it was worth it. Dumb biotch said no. I doubt she ever saw the movie since she was a notorious liar.

I remember going into the theater and that I watched the movie there.
That's all.

At some point since then I THINK, not sure, that I rewatched it.

Um, I do remember that I liked it but wasn't overwhelmed.

Oh yeah, about every 10 or 12 years I go to the theater.

I went to see Kong Skull Island. So, now I can wait at least 10 more years.

Yes, together with 5 or 6 other persons. In the same year we also went to see American Pie in the cinema.
