what was that nasty white liquid stuff that came out of that one fat guy's tooth when the dentist guy popped it?

I just saw the movie a couple of weeks ago (unfortunately :) It was so creepy. I believe that that white liquidy stuff was supposed to be puss from having an infected tooth, thus perhaps needing root canal due to the nerve being dead.

I've had root canal before due to an infected/abscessed tooth. The tooth ache typically feels like a constant ache in the tooth and/or jaw of the side of the abscessed tooth. After taking x-rays and all, one's general dentist usually prescribes an antibiotic medication and refers one to an Endodontist, a specialist in root canal therapy. Before getting the root canal, the tooth is numbed with lidocaine (novacaine) so that the root canal in and of itself doesn't hurt. One's bank account, however, certainly does, lol! The root canal is typically about $700 or so Not including the permanent crown that must be put on by one's general dentist which adds to the overall cost.

I would've thought that 'the dentist' would've suctioned it out on the 'patient' with that mechanism/instrument that they typically use for one's saliva (sorry, gross I know). I'm not sure if 'the dentist' is an actual dentist in the movie or if he was supposed to have taken over a dentist's identity presumably having killed the person that he stole the name from. Just such an eerie movie and the lead actor did such a convincing job. Thankfully it's not based on a true story!

Haha I noticed how a lot squirted out and he didn't seem phased by it in his mouth and none of it dripped out of his mouth or anything!
