Why did Lux asked the boys to come in to the house?

One boy asked Lux where are her sisters, and she said they're coming.
And she asked the boys to come in to the house and the boys found out that they were dead.
Why? Did she not know that her sisters were dead? If so, why did she said that they're coming and she asked the boys to come in to the house? Is she trying to scare them? I really don't understand.

I think they invited the boys so that the outside world would find them and, in a way, release them from the prison in which they lived, even if just in memory.
The sad thing is, the people from the outside world didn't take them seriously and instead mocked and trivialized their suffering and situation. Even then, they were still prisoners of a society that never got them and most importantly, never tried to.
