Why was everyone feeling sad while singing Lumbergh a happy birthday?

I don't get why everyone sounded so sad and morose when they were singing Lumbergh a happy birthday?

reply

😂😂😂 Because it's a "voluntary" party employees are required to attend to celebrate a person they don't care about. It's funny because it's true.

They definitely didn't seem to care much for Lumbergh, I know I wouldn't.

reply

I wouldn't say sad so much as they just didn't care. They were just going thru the motions because he knew they had too. But at least they got a piece of cake and a few minutes without having to act like they're working.

everyone except for Milton all because Nina didn't know when to keep her mouth shut.

Sadly, so many millions of American jobs are in soulless office environments similar to this. I did it for about 11 years I just couldn't stand it anymore. My birthday story is where they got the boss 3 cakes for his birthday, which was within about a week of mine. This was while I was in the military they worked 8 hour shifts and I worked 12 hours. A week after the boss got his 3 cakes I came in to work on my birthday and told them all I got a 12 hour cake..and by god the next year they actually got me a cake for my birthday.
