How did Junhu win?

I must be stupid but I just cant understand how Junha won the last game.

They were alla even before the last hole. Then the other two needed two strokes each to reach the green and then two strokes each to get the ball int the hole.

Junhu on the other hand had one stroke, then moved the ball and had a penalty for moving the ball and then needed one stroke and one put to hole the ball.

In my way of counting they all should have been equal after the last hole.

The only explanation is that Junhu didnt have to pay one stroke for moving the ball which is strange since he did move the ball and as I understood they all agreed that in the end that he did move the ball.

Stupid ending for a stupid movie. Blah.

The swedish subtitles are wrong also. They state Junuh won. And it's a bit hard to hear Arleze because of the crowd.

Thank god for IMDB and the explanation found here. I was really pissed at the movie for a while there...

watch ur spelling next time, because he's the main character in the movie and you spelled it wrong...

Ah, now I understand: In the German version, I am pretty sure I heard Charlize Theron say "defeats" instead of "ties". The reason probably lies in the fact that German does not have a short word for "ties"...

i also checked the german, french and italian dub, charlize always says he won the game. i guess most of the dubbed versions got it wrong.

Wow, that is weird. I absolutely never watch dubbed films. The only films that are dubbed here in Finland are cartoons (that's partly why all Finns learn English fairly well (and I'm not trying to say my English is excellent)) and other movies for children. I'm glad we don't have that kinds of misleading - no, wrong translations.

Lots of people have called you stupid because of this post. I won't go that far, but it was pretty thoughtless of you to post your thread with that title! Aren't you familiar with *SPOILER ALERTS*? I'm watching this on tv right now, and I know the end simply because I saw the title of your thread.

I'm compelled to defend the other posters to this thread who called the OP "stupid", and were criticized for doing so. He opened the floodgates himself, with the post I partially quoted above.

If you think Junuh won the tournament, then I hope you saw a dubbed version of this movie, or at least one with lousy sound. Otherwise I can't imagine HOW you got the idea that Junuh won the tournament, unless... .

I just saw it with english subtitles... and it said that "junuh won"..
