PCP drug test results

How is Jake going to shirk the drug testing procedures now that Alonzo is no longer alive? The PCP test results would undoubtedly cost Jake his badge..unless I am missing something here.

Was it really pcp? Or was he just messing with him? I always thought he was just really high and didn't know the difference

Well it's immaterial. Whatever got him high if he was tested the consequences would be the same.

At first I rolled my eyes when you asked that, but you bring up a good point. It does beg the question on whether Alonzo's team disclosed to their superiors whether Jake took the shot or not as originally planned, which would effectively trigger an auto test per police formality. The movie kept that question/answer nebulous.

PCP has a pretty short half life and wouldn't be detectable in his urine after 2-3 days given the small dose he got.

I always figured that, at the end, Jake was just going to tell the truth about everything that happened. That includes the PCP use. He’ll say that Alonzo coerced him. With the money as evidence, Jake would effectively expose Alonzo’s corruption, and people will therefore believe that Alonzo coerced him
