Why does Matt Damon portray such a convincing homosexual?
Uncanny. Like he was born to it.
shareHe's an actor. Should be able to portray a character.
Both Anthony Hopkins and Mats Mikkelsen are very convincing as Hannibal Lecter. Thoughts?
Will Graham: I don't find you that interesting.
Hannibal Lecter: You will.

Seemed to be quite close to his mum in one interview I saw, so he's probably quite in touch with his feminine side and maybe a little soft. Simply has the talent and self-confidence to check into it when the role requires; very good acting in my book.
Always impressed me how, as an inner city kid and young star actor, he's always been so comfortable with roles like this, where the character isn't shown in best light or even particularly impressive. Makes him a more fun and diverse actor; not just strong roles and the occasional swing at an Oscar. Doesn't need to play Jason Bourne cool every movie he's in, nor Oscar bait playing certain characters that tend to pick up those awards.
Fun to see a top quality good actor in that Rupert Pupkin or Tom Ripley snivelly role, with their multi facets, flaws, energies and even likeable qualities; properly going for it and catching the tone just perfect.
as an inner city kid
Like I've said Damon is Bi-Sexual....always has been. Nothing wrong with it~he should embrace it. I have never been impressed with his acting. **remember the board is used for all opinions**....so I'm not looking for a fight:)
