The german audio is much better than the ENglish dub

I only know basic German, but I found the English dub horrible and prefer it with either German with subtitles on or just German audio.

IMO the original is always better. The voice belongs to an actor so if there is a different voice then it always will be fake. I grew fortunately up in a country where movies are original with subs.

I agree and I know NO German! Why wouldn't they find someone who's voice was more appropriate or believable? Why didn't they just use Franka who can speak English? Who WAS the actress that dubbed Lola's voice?
Manni dub wasn't bad but Lola's seemed all wrong for the character.
Bottom line is for those wondering whether to watch it in English or German, German with English sub-titiles is the way to go.

I also agree,the english dubbed voices made
them sound like a couple of 7th graders.

i agree, everyone should watch this in German with English subtitles. There's not too much speaking anyway so subtitles aren't too bad.

Dubs are annoying, I always go for subtitles.

I've seen Machine Girl with a porn-quality dub, and that matched the film very nicely. Seriously.

Dubbing worked fine in the Dollars trilogy.

Worse than the terrible acting, the dubs in Run Lola Run, aren't even from the same script. Dubs in Anime films can sometimes work though.

I agree with that. I alternated between watching it in English and German, all the while keeping the subtitles on. I preferred the German, but my knowledge of the language is not quite as good as I wish it was, and found myself growing tired of reading the subtitles. One thing I noticed was, during the phonebooth scene, in English he was yelling, but he sounded rather calm in German.

Cheers! I always watch movies in the original audio, you just cant take an actors voice away, its SO much of the performance... Countless examples for excellent voice modulation, from Orwell's Harry in the Third Man to Lee's Saruman.

My english is excellent so I can watch any movie in original or use the english subs. I always encourage my german peers to join me in this as it also improves their english skills.
