Why the cartoons?
With the opening credits, the TV thing, and the roulette guy? Why are there cartoons in this movie? It really seems out of place.
Wintertime's fun! Follow meeee!

Yeah, the whole film is in a patronizing 'hyperkinetic' style to mask the lack of story.
Style over substance.
Never defend crap with "It's just a movie"

To the OP. Wow. What a load of crap. Well, you did ask.
just watching it again. The English dubbing is a bit annoying, but otherwise, it's a terrific piece of cinema. Sometimes the seemingly 'simple' plot lines can make the best movies. Not everything needs intricate sub plots and twist endings to be memorable. Sometimes one story told a number of times in the same movie will do it.
What if the entire film is the cartoon?
I like the video game theory, that this movie has a save point and so when she fails she returns to that point. That idea when presented as an animation would be easier to accept, animations get away with ridiculous things like that all the time. So we are actually watching the cartoon in the film but it has been presented as live action just for us, the audience.
But who knows?
"God, when I meet you, I'm gonna be pretty. If it's the last thing I do. I'll be a beautiful angel."
I likeded it :)
I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
