There is a sequal and it is out. I saw an add for it. It is available either through Columbia House or the Science Fiction Book Club.
shareI rented it at Hollywood video and it is sad compared to the first movie with not enough of Sam Neil. Sadly the focus is mostly on his apprentice. Still it's decent at least. It almost acts like the first never even happened.

I saw part of it on some channel but my mum and I, both huge fans of Merlin, got bored and agreed immediately it was crap compared to the first so we got up and went off to do our own things instead.

I rented the sequel out of curiosity because I loved the first one and I just want to advise everyone to save the cash. What a piece of garbage....it is no comparison to the first one.
