Yes, but you really need earplugs for that squeaky, hissy, cartoony voice.
She is an actress with enough presence and ability so a stupid "evil" voice was not needed. I hope it was the director's idea and not poor Miranda's. It greatly detracted from the film.
I especially loved her voice. It was very unique the way she did it throughout the movie. It just shows her talent has no limits.

Miranda Richardson as Mab was the best part of the whole film- I thought her voice was great, and it helped make a distinction between Mab and the human characters. Also she looked stunning, and Miranda Richardson, as usual, acted brilliantly-I found Mab a more sympathetic character than Merlin was, to be honest. But perhaps that's just me being strange...

It was Miranda's idea to do the voice. She wanted to make it seem like Mab had enough power that she didn't need a powerful voice. Alos the lady of the lake's voice was her idea I love that, how it feels like its coming out of the wter...ahhh
