Anyone else able to watch this movie over and over

without out getting sick of it, i swear i have watched this movie about 20 times and i can still watch it without getting board at all!
Ever since watching this, no other King Arthur stories have been as good or captured me as much! Merlin was truely a great film and i wish it was more known and made it to the cinema!
What are your favourite scenes?
Mine would have to be any with Maab, she was the best character, even though she was evil

I could if I had the time...but everytime I see it on the SciFi channel, I stop what I'm doing and watch it.

Yay. Me too. I am watching it right now. My favorite line is:

Mab:Do you defy me?
Auntie A: Of course I defy you, I've always defied you.

everyone seem to have the same opinion, that is, that you can watch this film endless times. think it has some to do with that I was quite young and very into fantasy/history the first time I saw this, so it really made a strong impression on me. But even though the special effects are really outdated sometimes (like with the big dragon) it still holds really well today.

And this got me into wanting to see it once again ^^ just need to plug in my old VHS lol

I have watched this one over and over. My VCR died and as soon as I got a DVR/VCR I promptly popped this movie in. Sadly, the machine kept re-tracking over and over - we could watch it, but the tracking signal hovers at the top of the screen the entire time. Proves how much I love the movie - the tape is completely worn out! Ah well, time to buy it again, on DVD. Not a waste of my money, by a long shot.

Got it on DVD, along with the script book and the soundtrack on CD!!!
Great Movie!!! Watch it loads of times!!!

You've seen this movie 20 times? Amateur! I've seen it around 50 times atleast. I watched it over and over as a kid, so that might be the explonation to the high count, but I still love it. Watch it maybe once every year or so now.

Ive lost count on how many time but i always enjoyed this film, ever since it came for rent, in TVm and now that they are showing it on SciFi Channel.

I make it a point to watch this movie whenever it's on, so...yeah. I can watch it over and over and over again.

I remember the first time I saw this movie. I sat there, stunned, unable to take my eyes off the screen. They were advertising at the end how to obtain a copy, and I took down the info and sent away for it that very night. I had a home project today and was so glad to see it was on the SciFi channel to make the day go faster.

I think Sam Neil is the best Merlin ever, and Helena Bonham Carter is just SO beautiful, and Miranda Richardson, too.

I enjoy every scene Frik is in and loved the part near the end where he told Merlin he had talked to Nimue....hope they lived happily ever after ....

Yes! I have it on VHS and DVD. This would have been considered a great movie even if it was theatrically released, but it's truly the best made for TV movie ever.

reply

Yes, and it's because I'm seeing the very talented Miranda Richardson at her beauty-peak. She takes my breath away.

I love this version of the Arthurian legend. I too think it's the best. I admit I'm a Sam Neill fan but everything about it is great and it also contains lots of humour which is always a good thing. I'm thinking about replacing my old VHS with the DVD now.

I've watched it many times. I love any scene where Mab says, "Merlin."

reply

When it first came out my parents taped it off the TV and I watched it over and over again.
Couldn't get enough of it!
I think it's because I had a thing for Frik :P.

I have the DVD now, but only watch it every once in a while...when I'm in the mood.

Come to think of it, I haven't watched it in a while.
It may be time for another viewing soon :).
