This film defines 'dark comedy' and is GREAT!

Some films are not for everybody and this is one of them. I thought it was great! I own it and saw it numerous times at the theater. You know why I like it? Because I understand that it is a MOVIE!!!! This is not real!!!!!! You see? The performances are just so good. The abyss just keeps getting deeper and darker and deeper and darker. This is one of those movies where events just begin to spiral downward and you wonder when it will ever stop. Hey, some people are not into this kind of stuff, they don't get the movie, so they say it was the worst movie ever, blah blah blah. So be it, movies are subjective and what one likes another hates. However, IMO, this is a truly great film.

Im really not getting why people dont like this... Infact most of the post are people slating... It's *beep* Awesome!!
Im actually gutted that ive only just come around to watching it & wished I would of seen this when it fist came out.
Why on Earth do people not like it? Its really funny, yes in a very dark way, but still funny. The story line is really cool and got funnier the more they dug themselves a deeper problem.
I just really liked it and wish there were a lot more films with the same feel and quirkyness to it that this one has.

For the people that dont like this, go and watch "Brick" or some *beep* like that!!

loved it until the Daniel Stern character got killed off , then it kind of derailed , but it was great fun until then.

I found this neither too 'dark' nor too 'comedy'. Did hardly laugh.
Where was all the 'dark humour'?

Cameron Diaz was the most annoying woman ever and I was always wondering why anybody would want to marry her at all. At least there was the ending... a truely happy ending in my opinion.

I think this might be a good 'dark comedy' for people who usually watch Titanic or Sex and the City. Don't wanna be rude, but there are much better film noirs out there.

I agree with you. Very good dark comedy with good acting and some brilliant bits.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

Whizzers, whizzers. Where are the *beep* whizzers??!!! Hahaha love that part. Adam having a breakdown was funny.

I can see you make a habit of missing the point.
