Why no Michael J Fox jokes/episode back in the day?

Matt and Trey went to town on Christopher Reeve with a whole episode around him, stem cells, fetuses you name it. However Fox was involved in the Stem Cell thing too, later becoming the main celebrity advocate after Christopher croaked and also had a rather funny ''condition'' (he shaked).

I was waiting for them to make an episode about him back in the 2000's but this never occurred. Really I was surprised, especially after the 2006 controversy where Michael J Fox made stem cell research a ''political issue'' and went on tv with no medication flopping around like a fish on a chair. They really missed an opportunity with that one.

They probably just didn't feel like it. They're clearly not holding back, since they basically do what they want unless the network stops them (Scientology and Islam, mostly).

So, my guess is that they "clicked" with the Christopher Reeve stuff and didn't care about the Michael J. Fox stuff.

They're friends with Michael J. Fox. He played a character in their film 'Your Studio And You'

reply

They were also friends with Isaac Hayes...

They've made plenty of parodies about friends, indeed.

But regarding this case - that story was already plentifully developed in the Reeves episode.
What more could they say about it?

Besides, with Christopher Reeves they were able to make a weird/fun parallel with the Superman story.

I'm not super-familiar with a lot of South Park; I just think it's unlikely that they're pulling any punches.

reply

"They're friends with Michael J. Fox"

which prove what fraud they are!

reply

the reeve stuff was the south park 2000s equivalent of "click baits". they just want to look edgys by bashing man in wheelchairs. i did not find it funny!

if trey or matt were confine to wheelchair for rest of life, they would be campaign for stem cell just like reeve did. hypocrits!

reply

how can they be hypocrites for a hypothetical situation you made up?

reply

I wouldn't take that account too seriously.

reply

Because it wouldn't have been funny. Trey and Matt are real geniuses not poser genius's for Poser genius fans like that Rick and Morty crap.
