Is the Emperor gay?

Something about the way Palpatine talks to Anakin makes me think he has some sexual interest in him and seems to be jealous of his relationship with Padme, Obi-Wan and the Jedi. Could the Emperor possibly be gay?

Put it this way. In "The Rise of Skywalker" when they mentioned he had a son, people were snickering out loud in the theater.

The giggles were based on the impressions formed in the sequels and especially the prequels, where even the most homophobic fans uses the idiom "seduction of Anakin".
