This post contains spoilers. Just thought you'd like to know....
At the end of Wag the Dog, is Dustin Hoffman's character dead or was it just a set up by the secret service. Because the newcast about Albanian terrorists and the closing shot of the conference room, lead me to question how dead Dustin Hoffman is.
Any clarification would be nice.
It is worth noting that the two people who die in the film are the two people who go off message. Motss because he wants the credit and this risks exposing the whole imposture, and Schumann because he has a psychotic turn while they are trying to have him flown in as a bogus hero of their artificial war, and ends up being shot. He does ask the pertinent question, "Who are you sons of bitches?"
