Maybe the best vampire movie ?
So cool and underrated.Shame on the tasteless audience
I do like it and I love to watch it at Halloween time. But I think I might like Underworld and Bram Stokers Dracula a little better.
shareInterview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994)
that's THE best vampire theme movie, hands down. it's also within my Top 100-ish movies ever to.

This is what I think is a "smart vampire" movie --- like attack during the day, etc.
House: I have been on a date before.
Wilson: Not since disco died.
Another NEAR DARK fan here, but John Carpenter's VAMPIRES is one of my guilty pleasures. I like the Slayers, their gear, their tactics, their Vatican mandate. I wish the movie had gone more into that. I liked James Wood's character, I do believe he has miscast though. Woods is just not enough of a physical presence for the badass he was trying to portray....
I've read the book by Steakley, this is one of those few cases, IMHO, where a movie is better that the book....
Love John Carpenter's soundtrack work, bought this one....
"Yeah, I'm a loser at the top of my game. I shoulda known to keep an eye on you...."
wo being to explain why -- I agree on your Woods comment wrong actor for specific role --- and i LIKE Woods - just not here - it's "off" in some way
House: I have been on a date before.
Wilson: Not since disco died.
I always recall John Huston --- 90% of directing -- is casting.

John Huston had a lot of actors with southern accents playing Union soldiers in The Red Badge of Courage.
shareI haven't seen this since 1999 or 2000, but I remember enjoying it a good deal.
shareI agree. This is the best vampire movie and also Underworld.
There's something wrong with Esther.
