I like the main message of this movie.
The past wasn't that great and the present isn't that bad. That sentiment was especially true when this movie was made.
shareA lot of the past was great and a lot of the present sucks. The 1950s weren't bland and colorless, but much of today is. I'm not talking about skin color, either, I'm speaking metaphorically about the banal electronic, tupperware nature of life today. There were problems then, just as there are problems now, and there have been problems in all times. The movie is cleverly done, but its message is a specious cliche.
