You can't act, you spend the whole movie pouting, you smear your face with make-up and you can't deliver lines convincingly. You ruin what would otherwise have been a good movie. Goddammit woman would you please leave acting alone. And music.
shareshe gave one of the best performance from any movies out in 98, so yeah I disagree too. She might suck at comedies but she's great here.

shareShe is utterly talentless- whether she's "singing" (Really, all she does is speak melodically. It's a mockery to vocalists to call what she does singing) or "acting".
That said, I've always felt this is the one movie where she actually gave a good performance. Her best by far. Her body language is great, and she even has some very good comedic timing in the film, and good delivery on her dry, sarcastic lines. This is also probably the pinnacle of her sexiness, IMO (I actually think she's hotter here than in the Grammy "dress").
She might not be the best singer but I love her. I think she's a good actress - she just does a lot of bubblegum roles after becoming a popstar. Her previous films like U Turn, Out of Sight etc are sound.

Yea I'm not a J Lo fan by any stretch of the imagination, but she's definitely quite good in this movie. In fact, her being in it was the reason it took me so long to get around to watching this. I've heard a few people say the same thing when I tell them about it, and I make sure to emphasize that regardless of whatever your opinions on J Lo in general are, she is way more than good enough in Out of Sight.

shareWatched this again last night for the first time in ages - it's fantastic and I had forgottten how much I enjoyed it. Anwyay, Lopez is good in it. Though in general, she is a terrible actress. This and Money Train are about the only good performances I have seen from her, though to be fair I do not make a habit of watching Jennifer Lopez films.
