It picks up and improves. But some of the scenes are just painful to watch. Bad music doesn't help.

Viewing it at present...very much seconded...just awful. Laugh out loud awful, so at least there's that.

The plane hijack with the guy disguised as Tom Cruise was stupid, Tom Cruise climbing in the mountains and hanging with one hand was over the top, but not in a fun way. It was just dumb and unnecessary. Then the bath tub scene was kind of okay, but the conlusion with: "I triggered the alarm, heh heh!" was quite dumb again. And then the chase and kissing scene, Oh My God, the kissing scene. That was just awful, horrible, scarring!

Oh wow, this thing didn't really get any better. They found a way to make every twist predictable and every action scene stupid and dull. It strange, I've seen a lot of bad movies, but most bad movies are more entertaining than this. How can you suck al the fun out of the cheese? How can you make 'over the top' boring? This movie can teach you that.
I am surprised at how cheap this movie feels compared to how much money went in it.
Also I am typing this as the last boring dumb stupid cliché scene plays out and even though I am multitasking I feel like I have been wasting time. I feel scammed. *beep* this movie.
I agree, and the ending seemed to go on forever. It is the lowest rated of the M:I movies, on IMDb and RT (see below). It made good money, but that may have been from high expectations after the first one.

The story is king.
I think the movie is unwatchable. MI3 is fairly unwatchable too. I like to pretend they don't exist.
