Tommy Lee's daughter
Why did she stand there like a lemon while lava encroached on her. Then again actually she had a similar reaction to I have when there's a moth in my room, silently watching it and backing away slowly

shareit's been a few years, but from what I remember, they establish with the first earthquake scene that she "freezes up" in the face of extreme danger.
shareI am watching this now and have seen it a million times and she is the one part of the movie that irritates me. First she just stands there while her leg is burning. Then she just stands there when she sees a building about to fall on her. She is probably the type to freeze up when in danger but it still irritates me.

And how many 13 year olds cling to teddy bears like 5 year olds?

I rewatched it last night and the kid is supposed to be 13 and she froze up. To me that is more normal than an adult who freezes up and cannot move
shareYeah the girl is an idiot. Just freeze when you're father is screaming at you to get out of the way. "Dad!..." VERY annoying and stupid.
shareGive the kid a break. She's worried about dropping that soft toy into the lava.🐭
shareShe was the worst character in the movie. Here you've got the doctor helping people and Mike running around and she's just standing there.
shareShe was by far the worst part of the movie.
I think they were going for "sweet innocent daughter who finds the courage to help out saving the boy by the end of the movie", but instead we got "obnoxious brat who couldnt be bothered to help out a man bleeding to death in front of her".
Yeah, that does seem odd that she froze? Roark is head of OEM, he would have taught her to be prepared in an emergency. I still liked the movie, much better than Dante's Peak.

You know You brought up an interesting possibility.
It’s really interesting and inexplicable to me how genetics either seem to skip generations or become concentrated in the next generation. I don’t know why.
