Better than Fargo

And I love the movie, Fargo.

I wouldn't have agreed 10 years ago, but I do now. It's the better film of the two if they weren't as good as each other. So Fargo wins, this time.

I adore this movie but Fargo is one of the greatest ever! Top 10!

"Fargo" is fresh all the way through. And it has that Coen brother's wit which helps a lot (including the feel of being in Minnesota).
9/10
A great film.

"A Simple Plan" is much more derivative.
The narration and plan gone wrong come out of the film noir tradition.
Much of the story is very predictable and the accents are often not right for Minnesota.
- And finally there is the ending which is straight out of "Of Mice And Men" which lowered my view of the movie.
7/10
A decent thriller but not great.

BB ;-)

it is just in my opinion - imo - 🌈

I respectfully disagree.

Oh no way, dude! Both "Fargo" and "No Country For Old Men" were much better films! No contest!

You clearly don't love the movie Fargo.

They are two different categories of film entirely.

They are two different categories of film entirely. Each excellent, just not comparable.
