There seems to be a trend around here that any movie that requires them to actually watch and pay attention to, without having the story laid out in the simplest way possible & makes them have to "think", gets hated the most. And there's a ton of trolls lurking and craving attention with nothing else better to do. I mean you can see the same stupid thread on almost every board for almost every movie; "worst movie ever", blather, blather and, blather. Write something stupid and you're pretty much guaranteed to get attention...I guess it gets lonely when you're intellectually challenged so any attention's better than none. It's annoying but we should try to ignore those ones....and obviously not everyone is going to like the same things, either. I usually watch movies first before I come over here to read about them, because then I have my own uninfluenced and unspoiled opinion.
Sphere has a few problems in the science department, mostly with the black hole theory and I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but I gave it another chance and actually ended up liking it very much! 8/10

Despite some deviations from the novel, Sphere is a well made scifi/psychological thriller.
Recently bought the blu ray disc and gave it a spin, looks great!
