The Dance Scene!
The scene in which Tom and Annie dance to "A Soft Place to Fall" is one of the best scenes in cinema history! It's so erotic and heartfelt! I loved it. Does anyone else agree?

I found it a little jarring, especially since the woman's husband is right across the room.
It didn't seem to make sense that either of them would feel comfortable dancing so closely/intimately with the husband there.
I like how the sequence builds-up to the actual dance scene. Tom and Annie looking at each other, at first from across the room until they come together. This exactly how a man and woman look at each other when they are exceedingly attracted to each other.
