how does this film only get 3.7 ? I was shocked!

I watched this film with my brother when we were little kids(and now Im 21). This is one of the funniest films we've ever watched together. We laughed so hard. and I even watched this again. Im not gonna say this is better than the first two parts but I like part 3 the best. And Im pretty sure kids will like this film.Seriously I don't get it why people don't like it. 3.7 is like unwatchable and it's not true. :(

P/S: probably because I watched this movie first before the first two. But then I watched the original Home Alone and wasn't impressed. This explains.. maybe the first impression was the strongest.

yes...i loved this movie..its actually much funnier than the other installments and the tricks are more sophisticated...it should get a more higher rating than a 3.7....im quite shocked.

Its actually not funnier than the first two. The it has is accurate.

I agree this was damn funny. Especially the parrot. Shame on those who look for an "Oscar level" plot in a kids movie!

the sad thing is, is that this movie will never get a fair rating. it's because people who love the first two couldn't accept a new kid with different criminals in the third installment. i love the first two movies. but i hold this movie in high regard as well. it was funny, and it had an original plot line that didn't involve a vacation. face it, how many times can kevin mccallister be left alone, and harry and marv happen to confront him. even 2 was a stretch, but in the movie business it's an accepting one. this film doesn't have the heart the first two does. but it is funny, enjoyable, and sadly underrated due to the more successful first two.

The second one wasn't great, and neither is this one, though both now have a sort of nostalgic charm. I think the original is the only one that can be labelled a good, solid movie, and in my mind ranks up there with It's A Wonderful Life.

Just because a movie is aimed at kids, that doesn't mean it has to be held by such low standards. Some of the greatest movies ever made have been aimed at kids. Toy Story, E.T., The Iron Giant and Spirited Away, just to name a few.

This was a great flick, the first two were the best IMHO. The fourth one was pretty bad, poor French Stewart. The first three should all get sevens.

3.7 is a bit harsh. True it's not as good as the first one, but it's still much better than the 4th. At the very least, this should be a 5 or a 6.

To be fair, there are better home movies made with higher production values then 4

I absolutely agree. I have never known the movie got a bad rating like this. I loved and still love it so much.

The film was terrible - trying to ride on the wave of the first two films

Please...2 wasn't good in any regard either. Home Alone was a one-hit wonder, the producers just failed to see it and tried to milk the success of the first movie.

Completely crap Katherine Heigl comedies get a 6 and this gets 3.7. Go figure. And the kid is good.

my syblings and i wathed this as kids too. it was the best of the series and really funny! i have no idea how it got such a low rating. :/

If you were "shocked" that people find this film atrocious then perhaps electroshock therapy is the way to go for you.
