How many of the traps would have killed

How many of the traps fallen into do you think would have killed or maimed the terrorists. The one where Alice falls down the Dumb Waiter probably would have broken a few bones at the least, and falling through several floors then landing on toilet probably wouldn't have been good for you.

reply

The two robbers would have been instantly killed when the wieght fell on them.
Nah, to technical.

You don't know that you fecking idiot.

People have survived much worse.

reply

that depends on the height, and weight.then you can calculate the volocity of the wieght.so lets say 5 pounds fell 10 feet.the weight of the falling object should be like 15 - 20 pounds.depending on the surface you can then determain how hard it fell.cuz that same thing happend to one of my friend's bro.the docter said that he'll need stitches, and had a concussion covering almost the entire back of his head(like a crack...greenstick).i was surprised that he retained his contionness(or however you spell it).anyway,i didn't see the movie, but if it was something like 25 pounds falling 15 feet for example.the should die or suffer SEVERE brain damage.thats what i think.

Deaths/serious injuries would have made this a much more interesting and enjoyable film

I bet Unger and Beaupre would have died when the trunk full of books fell on them, because it was so full, and the weights would have killed them too :P

is everyone forgetting the lawnmower (i think thats what it was) falling on the guy, he shuoldn't have been alive after that! lol

reply

Even if that wouldn't kill a person, they probably would've wound up with more than just a really bad haircut! That lawn mower ran right over his head, yet there was hardly any scratches on him.

That is why Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil are made.

reply

Wasn't it like at the end one of the guys died because the Parrot blew him up or something? Other then that all of those traps should've killed them and then Alex gets arrested for Quadruple Homicide now THAT would've made a good movie

reply

what i didn't understand was why the black spray paint didn't blind the man...

When Alice fell down the dumbwaiter shaft, it should have broken her spine; not to mention the fact that when the pot plant knocks her out and she's face-down in the mud, she technically could have drowned.
But the slapstick-ness of the movies is what makes them so funny (with the exception of the fourth movie, in my opinion, anyway).

When Unger and Beaupre get hit by the weights after the books, it should have given them major head injuries, or even death. And if Unger and Jernigan had been left in the frozen pool after falling through the trampoline, I'm sure they would have froze to death!

Harry: He took our picture!
Marv: How did my hair look?

Home Alone 2.. lol!

I can think of ten off the top of my head. Two that quickly came to mind were the lawnmower trap and the elevator trap.

Let's be real. Marv and Harry would've both been dead after the first movie, much less the second. These four criminals also would've all been dead. Death apparently doesn't exist for humans in this movie. The crooks didn't shook the guy who gave them money like they would've done in any other movie. They survived much more than they should have. It's Home Alone. People don't die. I'm sure even if Kevin and Alex had been shot in the face with the guns pointed at them, the bullets probably still would've found a way to only damage their clothes.

Alice would have died for sure when she fell down the dumb waiter shaft. When she fell and hit the bottom butt-first at that great speed, her body would have folded in like a slinky, and her head would have been sitting on her legs.

reply

The lawnmower would've probably destroyed jernigan's head, not to mention kill him if it ran through his jugular vein in his neck.

Reading this signature means i've had you under my control.

Nearly every trap in this movie either would have killed, seriously injured, or completely incapacitated the terrorists in reality.

The Home Alone movies in general take on a farce and slapstick kind of humor, similar to The Three Stooges, in which the rules of death and injury do not apply (in most cases).

As someone else said, both Harry and Marv would have been dead also after the first movie.
