It's 17 years later, where do you think Will is now?

Will is now pushing 40. Is he still with Skyler? Did they have kids? Did his life work out? Is he in jail? Did he go to college, if so, what do you think he would be doing?

Will is among the many brilliant eccentrics who found a home in Silicon Valley, college degree or no. Continuing therapy has enabled him to remain married to Skylar and to become a decent (if embarrassing) father to two bright but not brilliant teenagers. Life is good.

I got the feeling he didnt get crazy rich but comfortable.

Maybe he became a good writer. The way he looked at life I think he could have a good writer.

He got married with Skylar and had two kids girl and boy.

The Girl is a genius like her Daddy.

Will learned too much.. he was erased, he is now jason bourne

Considering the real life man that he's based off of, he'll go to prestigious school, drop out early, continue to work odd jobs and be a smart-ass the rest of his life.

Keep in mind, he may have been a genius, but he didn't like doing math all the time when people told him to. He had focus problems.

Got a nice job, a better car, a nice house and married to a wife who doesn't fart loud enough to wake the dog up 

Will was definitely on the up when he left Boston to see about a girl, but 18 years later life has been a mixed bag.

When he left he had serious psychological issues and an anger management problem. He hated authority. He had real trouble connecting with most other people, not surprisingly finding comfort with a group of guys who reminded him of happy and simple times from his background.

So going to California puts all of that at risk. No Boston buddies. No familiar culture. No ongoing sessions with Sean or any other professional. Skylar's got her own life and needs and Will's sitting there, anxious and impatient, getting increasingly angry at her slowness, at her douchebag West Coast friends, and at the entire Silicon Valley lifestyle.

I could see him becoming some kind of brilliant but eccentric free agent egomaniac who commands a $1 million upfront fee to come in and solve problems for any Silicon Valley company that needs him. But he's abusive and most people hate him almost as much as he hates them. He broke up with Skylar ten years ago after he punched out her (male) coworker at the office Christmas party, and he's got a couple kids by two different women who he tries to do right by but has trouble connecting with. He *wants* to be a good father but it's easier said than done.

I'm curious if anyone has written any "fan fiction" version of what happens to Will after the movie. I admire movies that end with "open" possibilities. Keeps you talking about them long after they are over.

Of course he went on to work for NASA and went to Mars. I've heard he got to live there by himself for quite a long time too. Back to earth he started he own brand on potato products sold in mass market and then makes a ton of money.

maybe he's going to mars and got left there #irony.
