shareIm really not the kind of guy who goes crazy over latinas as most European and American folks do, Im really not into them that much, but there's no denying Salma Hayek is a very beautiful woman, with amazing curves, and any man would be lucky to have her. On the contrary, I really don't see anything special about Snyder. She has pretty average looks IMO.
shareSelma has a better body, better personality(in the movie), Selma is much prettier, Snyder just seems to be your type, meaning you like leggy blondes with mid size breast, but I myself prefer Latinas or Black american/english women, and i'm a white guy from Australia, where such women are rare, But personality means more to me then looks ever will.
It all comes down to personal preference in the end.

shareIf anyone has really watched "Fools Rush In", they would know that Alex is not choosing Cathy Stewart (Suzanne Snyder), Isabel or no Isabel. Alex pointed out that Cathy was after him since the 5th Grade. Meaning: If he wanted her, he would have had her long ago. There is no question that Salma is WAY hotter than Suzanne Snyder, but beyond that, Isabel as a wife would certainly have more to offer over the long-term than Cathy. Basically, Alex did not know what he wanted in a woman, but he knew what he did NOT want, which is a "Trophy Wife" type like Cathy. Over the course of the movie, he discovered that it was Isabel, so he did whatever was necessary to get her back. Frankly I would have chosen Isabel also.

This is all about personal choice. You like the fiery Latina type you go with Hayek,you like the All American blonde type you go with Snyder.

Umm ... How about because he loved Isabel? I'd say that's a pretty good reason. Also, Kathy couldn't take a hint, and she wouldn't back off. He could scream in her face, "In case you didn't notice, I'm not interested in you!!! I never have been! I never will be!" and she'd probably reply with a moment of silence, followed by, "So, you want to go out to dinner tomorrow?" And, as it's been pointed out before, she was boring and needy. Isabel, on the other hand, had fire and spunk, and she wasn't needy.
