for your information , Kevin Bacon did an excellent job in this movie. The Movie itself was good. There was nothing wrong with his performence or the movie at all. Sean did a good job in "I Am Sam" as well both actors were great and so were the movies.

shareI have worked with quite a few disabled people and I think Bacon did very well, concidering the difficulty in portraying such as subject matter. Especially due to the fact that most people would prefer not to deal with the conditions that mentally disable people go through day to day, and actually having to study this subject goes against alot of what we would have been taught to ingore for one reason or the other.

this movie in my opinion is awesome! you cant critize it whithout one solid reason.

The funny thing is that this is Kevin's worst movie ever and 'I Am Sam' is Sean Penn's worst movie ever. That being said, I thought they were great together in 'Mystic River!'

Edward Norton played a pretty decent 'Brian' in The Score.
And don't forget Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade. He did such a good job in that that I knew he was in it but not his role so I kept waiting for him to appear. LOL

I couldn't get over Kevin Bacon looking at the camara, especially in the scene where he's laying down and shivering saying he wants his mommy. I thought I'd like this movie because I love Kevin, but I thought he did horrible. I'm so disappointed.
shareThe movie is great. I think you suck. Sean Penn doesn't have to act to play someone who is mentally disabled. Kevin Bacon did a much better job and gave a touching performance. If you didn't like this film, it only proves you have as much taste as a dung beetle.
shareI agree all the way with gloomyrival. I loved this movie. I personally think Kevin Bacon is a better actor then Sean Penn. However this movie was fantastic. A must see, and I am Sam, was ok- I love Michelle Pfeiffer.
Also the end credits song- is amazing. Loved Evan Rachel Wood.
This movie touched me deeply, in places I have yet to touch myself...
