This Movie SUCKS!!

I liked this movie,everyone EXCEPT kevin bacon did a good job. I agree with the op when they say he did a lousy job playing disabled. but besides that,the plot,acting,twists were very good.

I loved this movie, it was sooo adorable.
Evan Rachel Wood's performance was one of the best i've seen for a child actress her age. I don't think Kevin Bacons performance was horrible.

I thought they should cast Sean Penn or Johnny Depp as Ricky and it'd been wayyyy better.

This movie could've been a great piece and I'll blame it on the director (Tim Hutton, I don't see you very fit as a director, go back where you were!), director of photography and Kevin Bacon as a miscast.

Evan Rachel Wood and Mary Stuart Masterson are nonetheless glowing as always.

I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.

I don't know what they paid Kevin for this movie, but honestly even I could play a better disabled person... his performance was just so bad that it made the movie feel like comedy.
