Fun for the first half, downhill from there

I really liked the beginning few scenes, however it was a struggle to finish and it seemed way too long.

Well the plot isn't the only thing that's bad about this film. There is some of the most ridiculous direction ever. Like all of the stunts, Mr. Freeze and his henchman singing that song from "The Year Without Santa Claus", all of the jokes and innuedos and making the Batmobile a disco ride, and turning the entire set into a colorful and unrealistic design, poor visuals, and making the costumes anatomical. The acting is by far the worst film history has ever seen. Geroge Clooney is totally miscast as Batman, Chris O'Donnell is written as a bratty little boy who IMO is worst of the cast and just outright annoying, when he was the best character in Batman Forever. This is a film to watch when you are to be entertained and not looking for serious comedy or action. Batman Forever is by far more enjoyable and realistic in quality, even with it's campiness. I think it is underrated. Because of how horrible this movie was, people have bashed Forever when they should have reassessing it's quality. I do agree it is a bit too long considering it's quality

It would've done better if it was a movie version of TAS episode A Heart Of Ice or at least not to drop us right in the middle of the bigger picture's narrative arc.

Both of the Schumacher films are good, mindless fun for the opening action sequence, then the plot starts to unravel and it all goes downhill from there. Although I will admit that Forever had a couple of redeeming moments but that’s all they are, moments, not nearly enough to save a two hour movie.

The opening scenes could been grand finales, starting right in the middle of the action with no sense off a build did cause them to unravel.

Perhaps what really sunk Batman & Robin right from the get-go was having Akiva Goldsman as the sole writer for Batman & Robin. It's an open secret that Goldsman is one of the biggest hacks to call themselves screenwriters in the business.
