Gary Oldman nailed the role

I mean he played his role perfectly. He nailed it. He was serious, straight to the point, realistic, logical, smart, calculating, etc. Also I don't think that he was evil for the sake of being evil. I mean he wasn't hurting people for his own amusement. He did what he felt was in the best interest of his people. And as you can see when Radek was released, his fellow inmates were chearing. Meaning that they wanted him. He was fighting for a cause. So he felt that he was the good guy.

He was a hated villain. How dare you

But he wasn't killing people for the sake of it. He had a motivation. He was fighting for a cause.

I agree, Oldman’s character was well written and he did a fantastic job with it too. For a blockbuster film, it was nice having a villain who wasn’t a one dimensional character motivated solely by greed or revenge.

So you must love all the Friday the 13th films because Jason also kills for a cause. It was the counselors who weren't paying attention when he drowned as a young boy

He was a great villain. I just bought this movie on 4k and damn it's near reference quality audio on it.

reply

He was a liar. He said he would release all the hostages after that general in prison was released. Well he was released and Oldman then said the plane shall return to Russia where was planned on making even more demands with the president and his family still hostage

reply

he overact too much. he ruined state of grace.

this film was mediocre so his overacting did not affect picture. shit cheese script did.

That's the thing about Gary Oldman, he always nails his role, he's a wonderful actor.

And that's also the thing about bad guys, they never believe they're the bad guy
