None of the guys have cell phones, they use answering machines, and they play NHL on Sega.
If the movie took place in 2009, the guys would have been on their cell phones texting every five seconds, playing Xbox live, and looking up all these girls from the bars on facebook.
It's funny, everyone I knew admitted that the 90s sucked! The fashion sucked, the music sucked, and the technology has dated very quickly.
But now, everyone's nostalgic for the 90s because the 2010s suck even more.
I was born in the 90's so the nostalgic feelings I have for this decade aren't for its music, fashion or whatever but how we'd live back then. Back then we could say playing outside and there wouldn't be a problem, nowadays it's just not safe and kids have to be always at home unless their parents are with them.
The video game industry, well, mostly indie developers are trying to imitate the games from the 80's and 90's with the 8bit visuals but honestly if I wanted to play a game like that I'd pick up a Nintendo or Sega game instead.
