I dont think its not so much about how hot it is, I think it's more about how real it is. i.e the part where he tells her to put it in her, and in the end when she says no, stay in... I'd have to say that's what I liked most about it.

It isnt enough to tell us what a man did. You've got to tell us who he was.

Yes, very realistic, Maybe apart from a bit too many pieces of clothing staying on. Beautiful and much more realistic than most similar making love scenes.

Yeah, it was great. But in my opinion the scene in Sliver with Sharon Stone and Baldwin was even hotter. She looks so damn sexy there! Sliver is really bad but the sex scenes are great.

I personally like this sex scene because it's realistic. I could really see that happening, as opposed to the sex scene in The Dreamers in the kitchen...

Virginity seems to be a big thing for Bertolucci.

This was a good scene, but I think that the most erotic sex scene shown in a film (up to now) was in Atame! (Tie me up, tie me down)film by Pedro Almodovar.

I remember seeing this quite a while back on the bbc and when i saw it the other night it reminded me of how much i loved the film

Yes, I agree. I was not expecting it and it totally took me off guard. Very erotic. Very Bertolucci.

I still haven't made up my mind it this is a 'good' movie, but I am constantly pulled in by it so that is good enough, I guess.
