Who saw this in the theaters?
What did you think of it?
shareA-ma-zing. It was my favourite movie for a long time. Still up there.
shareYeah I did. It was packed too. It was a very refreshing horror at the time.
shareIt was amazing. I was 18 years old and thought it was extremely clever with all the hidden details, homages and the overall great production. It was a true horror thriller, but with a satirical twist. I loved it for years...
sharePretty cool. It was one of those rare movies that lived up to the buzz. Captured the personalities, style, and language of the time too.
sharecool experience i was in high school but i wish i recorded the audience's reaction when drew barrymore was killed.
shareThe opening murder with Casey had the packed theater in knots. It was so much noise, screams, and just plain old-fashioned shock from the crowd since no one saw it coming. I remember the audience still talking to each other and acting jittery while I was trying to hear the conversation between Sidney and Billy. The impact of that first kill was that good because of the element of surprise. Haven't experienced that since.
shareI stole my Mom's car and took a girl to see it in the theater, then lost my virginity to her that night after the movie. I was fifteen. Then I think I saw it three more times in the theater, with friends. Along with 'Varsity Blues,' this movie takes me back to my teenage years like no other.
As for what I thought of it, I loved it. It was scary as hell, and also hilarious.
i saw it in its second run after it had stayed in the top 10 for months, then re-released it a bit later,
my friend was really hyping it up and he'd already seen it and wanted me to go as well, it was definitely a fun movie to watch in the theater
I feel so jealous never seeing the first 3 back then. Damn it I only saw them on cable years later & could tell they were shockers. I got to see Part 4 at the theater 10 years ago & there was no audience reaction at all. Same again with Part 5. Everyone knows what to expect now I guess.
shareYes, I did. Funny thing is, although I'm a horror hound I've never been massively into slashers. But this was great.
