Strange that Carrey opted for this movie at the height of his career, it's such a frustrating film to watch. I'm sure he had way better offers at the time.

judd apatow’s script is full of funny & memorable scenes and dialogue. Ben Stiller direction is good for comedies, as he proved with Tropic Thunder.
But what makes it work is Matthew Broderick. He’s a great actor. Him and Carrey are a great duo
