OT Least favorite old Nickelodeon shows

Let me say this first, I grew up with 90s and early 2000s nickelodeon and most of these shows played a huge role in my childhood. Shows like hey arnold, rocko, invader zim, ren and stimpy, doug, and angry beavers ruled the day. With that being said, I'm intrested in knowing what shows back then you didn't like or least liked from that great era.

First, here's my take:
The first one that comes to mind is the Brothers Flub. A lot of you may not remember this that's because it only ran one season. And for a good reason. The show was about two brothers who are delivery boys in this alien type world (universe?) and from what I remember fought a lot, didn't get along with the other delivery people and they had a mean boss. I was really appealed to this show because it seemed like a rip off of the angry beavers and every episode was kind of the same. And it also had the most annoying intro ever. Seriously look it up on youtube.

Another old nick show that I didn't like was Butt Ugly Martians. i remember the ads for this show made it look more of a action type cartoon but really just like the Brothers Flub, episodes generally followed the same formula and it was weird. The jokes were dry and the action was not what it was hyped up to be. I only watched four episodes of this show.

The next show on the list is the Amanda Show. At first I liked it but as it went on I watched it less and found the humor to be to wacky and idiotic. I guess it's because when this show aired I was in my preteens and I was growing out of that type of humor.

Nick News. I used to think it was SO boring.

Anyways I liked VERY few Nick shows.
Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Legends Of The Hidden Temple, Nick Arcade, and Shelby Wu were honestly the only ones I really liked.
I pretty much hated everything else.

You didn't like Doug?

I was never a huge fan of Ren And Stimpy.

I meant to put Doug on that list! It was a really good show too :)

This is an interesting thread. I liked most of the old Nick cartoons, although I admit I don't remember much of Ren and Stimpy.

I think the one show I never really loved was Rocket Power. I thought it was okay, but I knew and still know too many people who love it. I found Otto pretty annoying and he was basically the main character. Some of the episodes were good, but overall it just wasn't that great to me.

I also didn't care for Jimmy Neutron at all when it first came out. It grew on me some and I can watch it, but wasn't that good.

Butt Ugly Martians was pretty terrible. I would watch on Sunday mornings when nothing else was on.

Aside from those I liked most of the older Nick cartoons (Doug, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Rocko). And well okay I am sick of Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob but they weren't horrible when they started. Other shows like Danny Phantom I never watched (that was when I started getting more interested in Disney).

Also, I used to be embarrassed by The Amanda Show and think it was too silly. Now I watch it and find it a lot more amusing.

Also a caveat about Rugrats. After Dil came along I really didn't like it as much.

I don't remember making it all the way through the wild thornberries. Which isn't to say I didn't get through an ep, but it was so blah that I don't remember it. Then again, that was the last show on the nick timeline I remember, so it was probably more about me getting older.

I'm not even sure if you could call the Amanda Show a "Nick Classic" show. I think that it came out around the same time that the network starting going downhill. But at the same time, it might have just been because we were getting too old Nick, but not old enough to start getting nostalgic.

Shows I really liked as a kid:
- Hey Arnold!
- Rugrats (I think I stopped watching after the Rugrats in Paris movie, though)
- Doug
- Rocko's Modern Life
- SpongeBob SquarePants (Only Seasons 1-3)
- The Fairly OddParents (Only the first couple seasons)
- CatDog (YES, I liked this show! I'm one of the few.)
- Are You Afraid of the Dark?
- Drake and Josh
- Caitlin's Way

Shows that I kind of liked but wasn't in love with:
- KaBlam!
- The Wild Thornberrys
- Jimmy Neutron
- Angry Beavers
- My Life as a Teenage Robot
- Avatar (Saw a few episodes back in the day and thought it was okay)
- The Amanda Show (it was entertaining sometimes)
- Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide
- GUTS (watched it on Nick GAS)
- Legends of the Hidden Temple (watched it on GAS)

Shows I either hated or found uninteresting:
- Ren & Stimpy (It was gross and disturbing all the time...)
- SpongeBob SquarePants (Season 4 to current day--the show is utterly unwatchable)
- Rocket Power (I watched it in the mornings, but always hated it.)
- Invader Zim (Sorry, but I never saw the appeal of this show.)
- Aaahh!!! Real Monsters
- Danny Phantom (just uninteresting...)
- All Grown Up (It was better when they were babies.)
- As Told by Ginger
- Slime Time Live
- 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd (He needed 100 good deeds and only accomplished like 2 after three seasons...)
- All That (never funny)
- Cousin Skeeter
- Kenan & Kel
- Unfabulous
- Zoey 101
- The Naked Brothers Band
- Pelswick (It was about a kid in a wheelchair and looked crappy)
- ChalkZone
- Catscratch

Welcome to Fright Night....for real.

I completely agree with you about Spongebob. I don't understand how it's still on the air. The first three seasons are fantastic but after that I guess they got some new artists and writers or something because it just went completely down the tubes.

Wow, nearly every single sacred cow here has been roasted except Rugrats.

I used to really detest the series after I reached about an age of 10 and never really gave it a chance since then.

I've been more open minded lately, and gave it a re-viewing. I've warmed up it, but still feel it was given a little too much hype and praise then it earned.

I loved a lot of things from Nickelodeon, I wasn't picky. Looking back here are a few:

- The Amanda Show
- Hey, Dude!
- Butt Ugly Martians
- Doug
- Pelswick (I don't remember much of it at all)
- As Told By Ginger
- KaBlam!
- Brothers Flub (It's taken me over 11 years to find that name again)
- All That (Kenan and Kel made it tolerable)
- The Brothers Garcia (I just find it boring looking back)

"I'll go,because I am Cinema!" - Ben (Man Bites Dog)
