Darkest/scariest/creepiest episode?

What in your opinion was the darkest/scariest/creepiest episode? I think it's hands down "Ghost Bride"! A jilted bride murdering her former fiance and her sister with an ax??! Creepy!! And this was a kids' show??

reply

I don't know about scariest or creepiest but the darkest episode was by far "Helga's Parrot." I'm not going to reveal the ending on here but if you've seen it you will already know. When I saw the ending to that episode my mouth dropped open in shock.

I thinking the exact thing! That ending was pretty gruesome and sad, but then again it served Helga some purpose. At least, her fears were over.

Definitely have to go with "Ghost Bride."

One thing I loved about this show was that every episode expressed different emotions. Some were scary, some were sad, some were funny. It made it very realistic and relatable to children.

Creepiest: The "Subway" episode.
Just cause of the rats. I'm scared to death of them, even a sight of them gives me nightmares lol.

Darkest : "Helga on the Couch" and any ep. With Oskar being an a-hole.

Ghost Bride was the creepiest

Helga on the couch was the darkest

Scary Wise:

I don't remember the name of it, but it's where Arnold and his friends hear the tale of the headless horseman in the park and a woman with a scotty dog. Then they went to the park and saw the scotty dog and heard the sounds of a horse drawn carriage.

The tale of the old train. Also don't remember the name of this one. Helga, Gerald and Arnold go check out a train that Grandpa told them was haunted

Monkey Man and Pigeon Man always kind of creeped me out too.

The episodes you have mentioned are The Headless Cabbie and The Haunted Train.

What about Part Time Friends? Remember the part where Arnold has a nightmare where he's 70 years older and we see a zombie looking Grandpa laughing until his jaw breaks off? That scene always scared me when I was kid.

reply

Yeah, that was a creepy scene.

The headless cabbie, the ambiguous ending makes it a great ghost story or a halloween watch
