best line in any movie, ever!!!
"i can lay you out & fill your mouth with your mother's faeces. or we can talk." & delivered in such a quietly & reasonably courteous manner? pure & utter genius!

shareI agree, but I prefer the openning scene.
shareOh hell yes the quote is so badass. The best quote I've ever heard and there are so many great quotes thru movie history but that is the best, EVER!!!
shareAnd in the end, I think it must be about faith, and if faith is a choice, then it can be lost - for a man, an angel, or the devil himself. And if faith means never completely understanding God's plan, then maybe understanding just a part of it - our part - is what it is to have a soul. And maybe in the end, that's what being human is, after all.
This was my favorite line in the whole movie
"Some people lose their faith because heaven shows them too little...but, how many lose their faith because heaven shows them too much?"
and..
"Years later, of all the Gospels I learnt in seminary school, a verse from St. Paul stays with me. It is perhaps the strangest passage in the Bible, in which he writes: 'Even now in Heaven there are Angles carrying savage weapons.'"
Elias Koteas is such an underrated actor.
I love the end, when Walken is trying to convince Koteas to join him, and says something to the effect of, "You'll love Heaven. You get to stay up late, eat all the ice cream you want.."
It was gross, vile, disgusting, totally macabre that only satan herself could ever say so elloquently.
In the medical examiner's office, looking through the ancient Bible belonging to the dead angel, Uziel:
Daggett: "hmm..cute....
Medical Examiner: "what is it?"
Daggett: "23rd chapter of St. John's Revelations..
ME: "so?"
Daggett: "There is no 23rd chapter.
ME "Well, maybe this is the "teachers" edition"
