I didn't watch The Stoned Age for a long time because of its title, but I finally watched it out of boredom and it was pretty good! Not Dazed and Confused good, but still pretty good.
Idle Hands isn't bad.
And you can watch it if you want, but I do not recommend Office Space. I think I have watched that thing 3 times now and barely laughed.
As far as Slacker the film goes, its amazing (Dazed and Confused director Linklater's first film), but is a whole different kind of thing than Mallrats.
Tendrils of Obfuscation

Encino Man and Jury Duty, two of Pauly Shore's movies I thought were decent
also Cool as Ice with Vanilly Ice, by no means a good movie but so bad it will blow your mind
..or maybe not, lol - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PSVP9LuRhU
I don't think Chasing Amy feels very similar at all... and that is despite the fact that it stars many of the same people, even characters, and was made by the same guy. I don't think it has any sort of "slacker vibe". Was a pretty straight-forward (un)romantic comedy, though somewhat original in theme.
On an unrelated note, start believing in punctuation. It will make your posts much better.

Of course it was a slacker film. The setting for the film was the comic book scene for Christ's sake!
