ALWAYS loved Alicia. But.... have to admit to myself...

Ever since I saw this film all those years ago I have been a MASSIVE fan of Silverstone's. I loved her. Tracked down The Babysitter in the 90s (that was hard) bought her outfit from 'Excess Baggage' spent thousands on The Crush soundtrack score. Never missed her on TV. Just loved her. BUT. I not have to come to terms with the fact that she is actually a really terrible actress. I hate to say it. But everything after this film (when I look back at them) is just horrific. Her acting is so distracting. Her face movements. Speach. I'm so sorry Alicia fans but I think if you disagree then you too must still be in denial. Like I say, I was her biggest fan. But now I'm older I can see what I didnt see back in the 90's... a really crap actress. Sorry.

You should really listen to the commentary track Kevin Smith & Marc Bernardin did for Batman & Robin - they talk about Silverstone a bit in it. Hilarious stuff.

I love her. She was great in Clueless for sure..her other roles not so much but I just like her for some reason..she seems really down to earth and a sweetheart.

She's not great, but I don't think she's bad either. I liked her in Blast from the Past (though the character is a bit snarky), which was a very different portrayal than Clueless. I give props to actors if they can at least play different personalities.

It depends on each person's reaction to her. Some are going to find her style annoying. She isn't an academy award actress, she does well in light films that don't require much from her.She is pretty and has charm. She is NOT a wooden actress, I have seen wood and she ain't it. She just has her place, is all.
